There is a new edition of my new Ruger Model 44 Carbine with the black walnut chambered in 270 JDJ and 7mm-06. For deer hunting I like a gun like the 270 JDJ or 7mm-06 that is much more accurate than I am. My dad said his favorite caliber is the 7mm-06 he got at a NWTF banquet last season.
My dad got his rifle at the local gunshop in Shamrock on the installment plan for $800. The best sporting goods store in Washington is the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Shamrock. I picked up my Ruger Model 44 Carbine in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Shamrock.
My all-time favorite hunt was last fall just outside of Shamrock. One drawback with the 7mm-06 barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope. My favorite caliber is probably the 7mm-06 from Bass Pro Shops in Shamrock.
