My favorite caliber is the 338 Winchester Magnum but I do own many others. The best sporting goods store in Illinois is the Wiley Outdoor Sports in New Haven.

One thing I don't like with most 338 Winchester Magnum calibers is that you can't buy factory ammunition. My Mom's favorite caliber for me is the 338 Winchester Magnum because it has the best combo of power and speed to make it the most versatile for the different types of game in Illinois. My friend (Noel) said his favorite caliber is the 338 Winchester Magnum he got at a NWTF banquet last season. Noel got his Marlin last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in New Haven.

My favorite hunt was when the Gobbler jumped on the back of that Hen decoy just south of New Haven. I like the the 270 Weatherby magnum best for deer hunting. My all-time favorite rifle is the Marlin 1894C I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in New Haven. I got my Marlin 270 Weatherby magnum online at Cabelas.

I got my Marlin in the hunting section at Gart Sports in New Haven, Illinois. I really like that you can shoot the Marlin 270 Weatherby magnum without much fuss.
